Two distinct environments: Website & Application
The GolfKid Rules application is designed for children: a safe environment, no advertising, no third-party advertising trackers. This promotional website is aimed at parents and uses cookies to analyze our audience and measure the performance of our marketing campaigns.
1. Data Collected on the Website
When you visit golfkidrules.com, we (and our partners) may collect:
- Browsing data: IP address, approximate country (geolocation by IP), device type, browser, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, source of traffic.
- Site interactions: clicks on download buttons, opening of the QR code modal, sharing actions.
We use the following third-party trackers for audience measurement and advertising purposes:
- TikTok Pixel: measures the performance of our advertising campaigns on TikTok.
- Meta Pixel (coming soon): will be used to measure the performance of our campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.
- Google Analytics: provides anonymous statistics on the use of the site.
In Europe (GDPR) and Canada (Quebec Law 25), these trackers are blocked by default and only activated after your explicit consent via the cookie banner. In the United States and the rest of the world, they are activated by default and you can disable them at any time via the link "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer.
2. Data Collected in the Application
Information Provided by Users
- First name or nickname: to personalize the gaming experience.
- Selected avatar: chosen from our predefined options.
- Email (optional): only if a permanent account is created.
Automatically Collected Information
- Game progress: completed lessons, quiz scores.
- Game statistics: XP earned, level reached.
- Anonymous analytics data: to improve the app (disabled for children without parental consent).
No third-party advertising tracker is present in the mobile application. No TikTok Pixel, no Meta Pixel, no Google Analytics, no advertising SDK. The application is entirely ad-free and is not used to profile children.
3. Children's Protection (COPPA)
For users under 13 years old in the United States:
- We require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal data.
- Analytics data is disabled by default.
- Children cannot participate in leaderboards without parental consent.
- Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's data at any time.
4. Use of Data
We use collected data to:
- Save player progress (application).
- Personalize the learning experience (application).
- Display leaderboards with parental consent (application).
- Improve our app and our website (anonymized data).
- Measure the performance of our advertising campaigns (website only).
5. Data Sharing
We never sell your data.
Application data is securely stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) and is not shared with any third parties for advertising purposes.
On the website, browsing data may be shared with our advertising partners (TikTok, Meta, Google) only after your consent in opt-in regions (EU, UK, Canada), or until you opt out in opt-out regions (USA, rest of the world).
The leaderboard only displays first name/nickname and score, visible to other players who have given their consent.
6. Data Security
- Data encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Secure storage on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Limited access to personal data.
